The board of directors of Stride Health, a leader in mobile benefits technology, has welcomed Peter V. Lee. Lee will bring leadership and experience to speed up Stride’s efforts to create its cutting-edge portable benefits platform so that all Americans can have access to the benefits they need, regardless of how they work.
Lee most recently served as the first Executive Director of Covered California, the largest state-based health insurance marketplace in the nation, a job she maintained for more than ten years.
Peter was the CEO and Director of the National Health Policy of the Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH) for ten years prior to joining Covered California. He then served as the Obama Administration’s deputy director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) at the US Department of Health and Human Services.
In order to assist the company’s goals to expand ACA coverage availability while seeking new markets for benefits, Lee will work directly with Stride’s executive team. Thanks to his extensive leadership experience, Lee will assist the organization’s initiatives to foster diversity and inclusion while directing the organization’s expansion.
“Having lived in California for the past 20 years, I have seen the beneficial results of Peter’s work in ensuring that all Californians have access to essential insurance,” said Noah Lang, CEO, and Cofounder of Stride Health. “His energy, persistence, and devotion to aiding neglected communities encouraged me, and do so to this day.
