Which do you prefer for tracking your health: wearables or apps? Although both are typical, customers like stylish wearables that only passively monitor vital indicators.

In our research “Connected Wellbeing: Tracking The Rise Of Health-Tracking Technology,” we polled 2,668 consumers about their preferences for digital health monitoring for wellness. We found that the popularity of wearable health-tracking devices has overtaken that of smartphone apps in the previous year.

96.5 million consumers tracked their health or vital signs via a device, app, or website in October 2022, and the number of new users was rising.

The study claims that “Since November 2021, the usage of health-tracking devices has increased by 21%, resulting in a predicted 21 million additional U.S. customers. According to this usage, health tracking technology is the most widely used connected health technology in the U.S. Last month, among other connected health technologies, about one-third of customers used portals for scheduling telemedicine appointments and social exercise.
