Amwell is complimenting the Converge digital health platform’s modularity as the basis for its future as a player in the health tech sector, illustrating how some telehealth providers understand they must deliver more than video visits in the post-pandemic period in order to remain relevant.
During a third-quarter 2022 earnings call with investors, Amwell CEO Ido Shoenberg and CFO Bob Shepardson highlighted migrations to the platform that was introduced in 2021. Famous customers like CVS Health, LHM Health, and MU Health demonstrated the breadth and variety of the platform, which, according to Shoenberg, is about to see 1 million visitors.
Converge visits went from 9% of all visitors in Q2 to 16% in Q3, according to Shoenberg, who also noted that “in the past, we essentially had one huge product and you either purchased it or you didn’t.
In recent customer-facing conferences, users of Converge, including MU Healthcare, LHM Health, and Nemours Children’s Health, claimed success. He gave good news from these events. The management of disease states and behavioral health is aided by new module.
The Q3 results call did not include the start of Amwell’s contract with CVS Health Virtual Primary Care, the company’s most well-known client to date, which is scheduled to launch in January 2023.
