Hamilton City- Anyone working for the Hamilton City Government is no longer required to have the requirement after the city council members voted 9–4 to suspend it. According to the government announcement, this suggests that employees won’t be obliged to submit to a Rapid Antigen Test as a condition of employment. They won’t be fired either if they don’t have their shots by September 30.
The announcement states that the suspension affects all full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary, casual, and new hire municipal workers as well as volunteers, council members, and students who participate in committees that the council appoints. According to the announcement, new hires with the City of Hamilton will still need to provide proof of vaccination in order to be hired, though.
